Objective
The BraunPrize China seeks to promote the work of young designers in China, to recognize the work of chinese design schools and to help develop a greater appreciation of the factors and criteria which make for good product design within China.
Furthermore, it serves to make the ingenuity and creativity of young designers accessible to the public and to provide a link between young designers and industry or potential clients.

Theme
Design a real future, face it!
People must be seen to be both the inspiration for the product concept and the focus of its realisation.
Participants are free to choose any subject for their product concepts. The BraunPrize has always been entirely independent of the Braun product range and is not restricted to products from the consumer goods sector.

Timeline of competition
Call for entries started on 1st. July, 2006

The Judging Process
The nineteen best entried will be selected out by judge panel and it will be announced in Apr./May. 2007. The nineteen best entries' author will be invited to Shanghai for BraunPrize China 2007 award ceremony.
These nineteen best entries will be also sent to Braunprize 2007 International competition. These projects will be presented within a photo exhibition at the BraunPrize Forum and Award Ceremony at Braun in Kronberg (September 8, 2007). The best of them will win a free trip to this special event in Germany.

Prize Money
Each 19 best entries' author will be awarded with RMB5,000. The best of them will win a free trip to attend BraunPrize Forum and Award Ceremony at Braun in Kronberg, Germany.
